Police find 1m drug crop in Australia
A small amount of marijuana was discovered this morning near the start of Australia’s biggest cannabis farmers’ fair, and police are investigating whether the growery had received permission to grow more of the crop in the region.
A police spokesman told 7.30 a farm in the south of Melbourne had been “sown” about 1:15pm, and that police would investigate whether they had permission to grow more.
It is the largest amount of cannabis that has been found in Australia since the country implemented tougher여수출장안마 여수출장마사지 laws in November.
The AFP spokesman said it was the first time it had been found and that it was investigating how cannabis had gotten into Australia.
A spokeswoman for the state police said a few marijuana plants had been found at one of the sheds on the farm, but she had no idea whether the farm wo예스 카지노uld be affected by the weed.
The number of illegal grow operations continues to rise with growers now using equipment like high-tech vacuum and horticulture equip인터넷 바카라ment to weed out plants that pose a threat to staff and animals.
Farmers say growing cannabis has a legal role under the cultivation act which, among other things, allows them to grow marijuana in accordance with state legislation.
Labor leader Bill Shorten has called for the government to make a stronger effort to tackle the illegal business, but says Labor is not in favour of it.
Mr Shorten told reporters in Sydney that the growth of the farm, one of seven across the state, “is unacceptable”.
“It is something that we don’t support — we believe cultivation is legal in the states where it is happening. But we want enforcement of the law for businesses growing cannabis to stop,” he said.
“We want these companies working with the Australian Government in doing that.”
